I. B. Singer stories at The Hungry Ear on June 26

The Hungry Ear, the library program celebrating the art of the short story since 2007, will present works of Isaac Bashevis Singer from “The World of Sholom Aleichem” on Monday, June 26, from 5:30-6:30 pm, at the Broome County Library, 185 Court St., Binghamton. The program will take place in the exhibit room on the second floor. It is free and open to the public.
“The characters, like the beleaguered ‘Tevye’ from ‘Fiddler on the Roof,’ put humor in their misery and laughter in their tears,” said program organizers. Readers will be Andy Horowitz and Mickey Ray. Judy McMahon will host. “Come join them for a cocktail hour for the mind,” organizers added.
